Great chiptune composing app! I feel like I compose better with these limitations. I can assure you that the reviews that say it's "unusable" just never understood the mechanics the app teaches you when you load it. Everything is chromatic, so I don't understand the reviews saying that there aren't specific scales. The talking about "moving all notes at once" was accidentally swiping over the top to select several notes, and you can easily edit individual notes.

It's free and has no ads, so I pretty much have to give it 5 stars. I haven't really used it much, but I think there should be a delete button, instead of having to hold down and select in a menu.

As a non-musically inclined person who had little tunes that I wanted to somehow record or write down without recording myself humming or attempting to record a snippet using some piano tutorial app, this thing is amazing! It seems pretty powerful with what it can do so I'm for sure going to try the desktop version in the coming days. I'm sure more musicians on the go would appreciate this app a ton. :D

I cant even record a Square sequence NORMALLY. Whenever it press the dot i starts record but not the length i press the keys for e.g: i tried making a song with the square and it just made a very fast and unconfortable af mess.

It's very good. To me, it's very -friendly and pretty easy to use. I just hope I can record the music by playing the piano roll in fullscreen just like Bandlab. But overall it's good and can be better in the future. So for those who once use Piconica, I bet you'll love this one even more. Give it a try. The app size is not even that big.

The controls are too different from the computer controls for the program I use, but that's to be expected. This is a different program for a different platform. This contains all the features of the program I use on my computer. I do not want to make this app sound bad, it's quite good actually. I just don't have the patience to relearn the controls and it was silly of me to expect it to be exactly the same.

Nice but no MIDI input. There's no MIDI tab in preferences, OS didn't ask for permission to use my MIDI controller (Alesis Q25) as expected when app is starting and no sound from keyboard. Other apps works like: Caustic, G-Stomper, FL studio mobile, n-track studio, DRC, SynprezFM, Synth FM, RD4, Virtual ANS, etc. Besides that, I really like the piano roll UI for making NES chiptunes, easier than tracker style view. Android 11 and Android 10.

Well this is an unexpected surprise. I had heard about FamiStudio before, but never tried it until now. It looks feature complete for NES composition. It s the various expansion chips, pitch modulation, duty modulation, etc. Bravo for porting it to Android!
