• Story
The story begins in a forest near the village of Riders. Three young friends—the hero, Lilia, and Cheval—stumble upon a shining egg.
The trio perform a playful imitation of the Rite of Kinship, only to be shocked when it actually succeeds!
The egg hatches, revealing a baby Rathalos, a flying wyvern also known as "the King of the Skies." The trio affectionately name him "Ratha," and take him back to the village.
Days later, without warning, the village is beset upon by a monster infected by "the Black Blight." They manage to drive it away, but not before it devastates the town—and leaves indelible scars in the hearts of Cheval and Lilia.
A year es...
The hero receives a Kinship Stone from the Village Chief and officially becomes a Rider. Cheval and Lilia both leave the village, each on their own path. The hero, though separated now from childhood friends, partners up with the cheerful Navirou, and embarks upon a new adventure into the world of hunters.
A story of friendship and triumph await you—ride on into the world of Monster Hunter Stories!

One major issue plagueing this game. The backup file is non-transferrable. Tried on other devices, emulators and virtualbox - no luck. For new players out there, I recommend starting this game on a device with a huge battery capacity as it is VERY power hungry (my note 9 lasts for about 3 hours). I spent more time waiting for my phone to charge and cool down than actually playing the game.Turn-based, rock-paper-scissors gameplay with attribute effectiveness (water beats fire, etc.) Edit: The game crashes occassionally with some minor loss of data. No biggie.

Please make this game able to start up and load in airplane mode. It doesn't make sense when the single player story mode can be played in airplane mode but requires data connection to start up the game! I'm coming from the perspective of someone who travels frequently and doesn't always have data connectivity. If you don't want to fix this, I demand a full refund!

Love the game but the bug whereby the game restart when you receive a notification is frustrating. To the point that once i start the game, i will switch to aeroplane mode. Hopefully Capcom will fix this bug and also update the game to the same version as the Japanese version (1.3)

Great game! I been playing MH since I was a kid on PSP, I recently just completed MH World and I wanted more so I purchase this game at first sight. It's almost like a pokemon-style gameplay which is nostalgic, the graphics are kinda cartoony but the original one on the PSP has poor resolution so come on guys it's the gameplay that matters. The controls can be quite awkward due to the fact that the analog keeps moving around, other than that it's a pretty decent game I really hope there future contents being released!

Love the game! There's a few bugs with the audio (half the audio sounds muffled in places). Unfortunately, I can't keep it on my current phone (galaxy s22 ultra) because it overheats far too quickly, even with heat reduction mode on high. Now I can't keep it on my older phone either, because Google has ruined offline functionality for multiple apps

I love it. Really an awesome game. Anyone complaing about graphics doesnt seem to realize this is a nintendo 3ds port. Only problem is capcom not revamping the save feature for mobile. They left it as the original which means you have to save in certain areas (e.g. town). Thats great, for the ds. Not if your playing on a phone and it decides to act as such and requires your attention elsewhere which results in lost progress. So one star reduction. I wish they would "fix" this.

The game is really good. The story and gameplay are everything you would expect. You need internet to start up the game, but even the worst network will do. The only big complaint I have is that the game is demanding much of your device, which results in it getting very hot. I can't play for two hours straight because the battery takes a hit, and eventually the phone is too hot to hold, even with a case.

This game is actually pretty fun too play, decent story, awesome Monsters and just an A+ game. The reason I don't rate it 5 stars is because alot of times if you play for a longer period of time, or even sometimes just randomly the app will close itself and you risk losing all your progress up too your previous save point. If you are used too auto saving games then you forget too save as often, though even when you do save it is a bit frustrating to have too save every 10 minutes..
