The images are not well focused. It could be my inability to both hold the picture perpendicular to the lighted screen and hold my phone still with the camera in focus. I tested it on the same slide I photographed with my own method which came out perfectly focused. My method: have your lighted screen laying horizontally (laptop with screen part on table). Make a simple slide platform that holds the slide about 1" from the screen and another platform to hold the phone 5" above the slide.

The app worked quite well with slides that had plenty of natural light but didn't work with slides that included shadows or poorer light. I paid for a month's subscription but won't be extending. The Kodak app, which is free, worked much better, but still not great. A good idea, but probably requires something that is more fit for purpose for useful results.

I used two methods to transfer slides to my computer. This app and a device that hooks directly to the computer but only works on Windows XP. The older device always gave clear photos but made many of them way too bright. This app usually produced good colors and focus. However, the app chooses what part of the photo to focus on, despite the instructions which claim you can chose, so some slides turn out a bit blurry no matter what distance you use. A few times it cropped the photos weird.

I inherited my Dad's 35mm slide collection and wanted to digitize them to share with family . I did not relish the idea of spending big money sending them to an outside company. I found this app and tried scanning a few slides. It works! I found the best way to do this was to buy a "Helping Hand" tool that holds the slide steady in front of a blank Word screen on my laptop. I then scanned the slide quickly and with ease. The app then color corrects and crops the picture.

Pros: the auto cropping is very good, color rendering is pretty good. There is a 3-day trial period. Cons: Focusing is entirely manual, by moving a slide back and forth in front of the phone camera. It's very hard to see the proper focus manually on a 35 mm slide. The only way to really look at your results is to go through a number of steps, which gets old with multiple slides. It's hard to control flares from light sources. There's little exposure adjustment. The results are simply too poor.

Nice idea. Poor results. I thought this may be a good way to scan old family slides. However, the scanned images are not nearly as sharp as the originals. Also, the light from the white screen shines so brightly on the back of my phone that it reflects onto the the slide being captured--not good. Don't be like me and waste $30 on a one-year subscription. I should have tested the app by subscribing to the monthly plan.

DON'T USE THIS APP. This app is a total rip off ! It lures you with a 3 day free trial, but after the first time you use it, you have to subscribe for $29.95 to do anything more like save or send the photos. It also did a terrible job reproducing my slides, they were all out of focus an blurry. Not one slide came out right. Also it makes it impossible to opt out or unsubscribe. Horrible way of doing business.

BEWARE! CANNOT CANCEL FREE TRIAL! The quality of the pictures is horrible even after being more than two inches away from screen. I don't want to purchase anything. There is an endless loop when trying to cancel. Went to Google Play to cancel and it says I'm in a 3-day free trial but gives no option to cancel. How is one supposed to cancel before the 3 days are over??
