CAREFUL! It used to be my only go to recorder. Was the best... paid for Pro used for years. Sadly, it looks like the company doesn't care when you need help, or maybe they're defunct. Their form is broken as the Captcha doesn't produce a code, so you can't get in touch. Nice! And with the latest upgrade, you can't access where the Recordings are stored since they're inside the Android folder. What madness! Don't waste your money!!

Absolutely the best recording app... until they moved the recordings to "app-private folder" that kills in-app access to older recordings and locks away new recordings from the flexibility and ease of access they've always enjoyed. It pains me to delete this app, but trying to preserve recordings that this app has now arbitrarily split into two different folders, one of which is significantly less accessible than ever before, kills a lot of what made this app so great for all these years.

I've always liked HiQ and even when it sort of fell out of getting updates, it remained my default recorder and then here comes along an update that excited me, but then why in the name of Sam Hill do I need Notification permissions in order to store recordings? Doesn't that access belong to "File access?" What do you mean by the following regarding notification: "Allows Hi-Q MP3 Recorder to store the recordings on the shared storage on your device. We do not access any photos or other media f

I have never had any issues with this app for 7 years and now all of a sudden I cant choose where to place any of my recordings? If you care about this app at all, give your s the option to choose where the can go and what apps can access these recordings. This is ridiculous. For me to casually listen to these recordings, I have to it to dropbox and it back to my phone. This is so much extra work for no actual reason

I've been using this app for years. It's the best, especially if you have an idea and have an acoustic or if you're a vocalist or really for anything I recommend this app. It's the best, always better quality than the stock smartphone app, and you can save your ideas quick, like even when you have a song in your head and can hum it... Hit the record button and hum it so you won't lose it!

Good for recording live music (playing piano, singing, etc.). Fidelity much better than other apps I tried. Sound files can be stored ON YOUR PHONE - easy to rename, find again, copy to other devices. App is easy to use, trouble-free. Love it. Have used it for several years both in church music job and at home.

This just deleted 7 years worth of recordings.. now when I go to the recordings it's completely empty... Also when I try to make a new recording it says 0 seconds the entire time and never records. I will update my review if and when my recordings return. No I didn't change phones, no I didn't reset my phone and no I didn't remove any SD card. I literally was accessing my files yesterday.

**UPDATE** App skips during recording now. Haven't seen an update in a long time so not much hope for a fix. Too bad This is a great app that saved me for simple voice recording. Multiple choice of format and can actually save to an SD card. The files can also be moved without issue. A lot of other recording apps have issues when trying to do these simple things, especially the default app. The only thing this could use is the ability to set your own folder that the recording saves to.
