FAQ:

Q: Is the audio track feature available in the Guitar Pro mobile application?
A: Unlike in Guitar Pro for Windows and Mac, the audio track feature is not accessible in the Guitar Pro mobile app.
You can play local Guitar Pro files that include an audio track, but the audio track won't be shown or played.
The mySongBook scores with embedded audio tracks are not available in the mobile app.

Q: Can I create or edit sheet music with this app?
A: Unlike Guitar Pro for Windows and Mac, this app does not let you change the notation in an existing Guitar Pro file, or create sheet music in standard notation. It is however possible to edit a single-track tablature with the NotePad tool. Editing a drum track is not available with the NotePad tool.

Wow I cannot believe they charge for this app and I got suckered into paying for it. It is unusable. I have the desktop software and it's amazing but the app is horrible. The sounds are worse than an Atari system. There is no zoom so the font is super small and adjusting the font size doesn't do anything either. App doesn't the embedded track that was used in the desktop to build the score. Also, what is up with the sloped bars connecting the notes? I want them flat like they should be.

Needs Major Improvement. This app needs massive Improvements. The song finder is barely a least viable product. What instrument each score is written for is completely missing. The app doesn't with long s, like you can on the website. The bass guitar audio parts are completely missing in many songs. The other instruments sound like a 1987 Amiga. You cannot set your instrument preferences for finding music. You can not search by instrument piece either. Grade D-

Can't edit anything to do with a tab that was created outside of the app. Tried using tabs I've created from the PC program and it will not allow ANY editing capabilities outside of adjusting volume levels. Wish I could get a refund for this. Not sure why it's a paid app without having the most important feature to a tab creating/editing program.

Some songs were not showing up, so ed and they were amazing. Turned out that songs with audio files will not show up on the app (will only work on the full GP PC/mac software). Bumping a star off because the instruments are usually randomly assigned on the app (whereas on the full desktop version we actually get the correct instrument sounds). The app is great for learning songs quickly though.

Although being able to slow down solos and difficult rhythms is a huge chunk of my practice and this does accomplish that, this app is lacking on MANY other areas. The most annoying is that if you try to loop any parts with a highlighted section any notes that aren't palm muted at the end of the selection will continue to ring out through the replayed repeated section.. also, you can't access many of the things this app has to offer if you flip your phone into landscape mode. Good but still meh

App is working quite good, especially regarding the sound playback (except when there are notes marked with keep ring in some tabs). But tab view is barely usable because you get only one line of notes where there is space for 4 lines. This is really annoying and forces you to use desktop app in order to practice. Edit: I added one more star becouse I like this app, apparently there is a Tablet Mode setting which makes the view fit a little bit more lines when mixed with score size small. But still the information you have on display is rather limited, more space is taken by the status and navigation bars then the content. Also track switcing and navigating is rather clunky compared to the desktop version.

Would be absolutely fantastic but the tempo constantly changes while playing. I held off on reviewing in hopes that they would resolve the tempo issue but it's been consistently happening for at least a year. I love the app, been playing metal guitar for 20 years and I use it for learning complex sections or solos but there is room for improvement. I would like to see the tempo issue resolved and I would like to see 0.5 increments for tempo changes when building speed.

it's like they went out of their way to remove features that should be default. you can view the drum notation (or at least what they attempt at notating) but not the midi trigger tab view that you get on every other track? every sample cuts off the moment the playhead moves to the next note so cymbals are horribly choppy, and the responsiveness and interface aren't even on par with some free to apps made by hobbyists. don't waste your time or money. Guitar Pro 5 was their peak.
