it's a great app to use as a pager, and I've used it for almost a year now. but it does have its bugs. It is sometimes delayed, and it sometimes sends a text tone instead of the actual pager sound chosen. I hope these bugs can be fixed in a later update.

When it works, it's great. unfortunately, the updates occur so often, and without notice, that the settings are changed or the app needs to be manually updated. I've missed multiple call outs for missing persons due to this, as have a number of my teammates. I'm using Android, but Apple s also have this issue. Lives depend on consistent alerts, and we are becoming frustrated. We're now doing bi-weekly tests just to see if the app is working.

I love this app... When it works. I consistently have to uninstall and reinstall this app to get it to let alerts come through. Almost once or twice a week I have to uninstall it and put my device code back in to reconnect it. I would love to say that this app is perfect but it is very frustrating not receiving the call on my phone when I need information.

Overall this is a great app that helped bring my backwards employer into the 21st century only about 15 years too late. Unfortunately it has a major flaw in that the contrast of the road outlines/road names/background are such that it is very difficult for me to read the map, especially in the bouncy cab of the engine. To make matters worse the street names stay tiny no matter to what extent you zoom. I encounter this problem in all viewing modes but dark mode is the worst.

Review for the previous version. The problem we have had is that when we pull up the map 90% of the time it shows directions to the wrong locations. Sometimes it's many miles in wrong directions. Not sure if this is the app or how the info is entered into the app but this a critical problem for our fire department. Latest version says this is fixed. If so, this will be a 5 star app.

Overall, very practical which I like, it does everything it needs to, and this is kind of a meat and potatoes kind of business, so I get that. However, the computer geek and perfectionist in me sees a lot of room for improvement. For example, there's a lot of steps to go though to change notification settings. I know I can't be the only one who likes the "continuous repage" function overnight, but also forgets to turn it off when I get to my dayjob in the morning. My coworkers don't always care for that especially if I happen to be in a meeting or step out of the room. Food for though, create notification profiles so you can store all your settings for quick changes. Maybe add a shortcut to the desktop widget to control the profile. It would also be nice if they could put a priority function on the service. They already have separate page groups and duty status', however I know most of us like to monitor what's going on elsewhere in our response areas, even when we're not necessarily first due. It'd be cool to hear a quick chirp for stuff that isn't of immediate importance to me, while I get my nice annoying "it's 2 am, get your arse out of bed" continuous high pitch page for things that are of immediate importance. Otherwise, it's a great program. Always seems to work, the google maps integration is nice, really can't complain about the base functionality at all. It gets me the information i need when i need it, and that's exactly what it's there for.

I'd love to give this app 5-stars, but there's a few unresolved issues and easy improvements that could be made first. When I try to switch from "off duty" to "on duty", the screen blinks between day and night mode, and content flashes on and off. Takes several restarts to fix. The widget is nice, but can we choose a rig and go on-duty right on the opening page? Is there a way to archive the alerts, and export to a .csv file? It would be nice to remove agencies, when you have many

Update: 4 years later, review still stands. It works fine, but is completely unacceptable that this isn't integrated into android auto yet. Emergency response is a simple one button press on a screen. Having to fumble for a phone to respond to an emergency response adds unnecessary actions and danger. I have read that there is no intention to add this functionality. Maybe someone can explain to me how this makes sense? The ability to respond to an emergency on the move should be a no brainer.
